The culinary heartbeat of The Royal Hotel.

Executive chef Albert Ponzo has put his signature touch on an Italian inspired menu, one that honours our regional terroir and celebrates the bounty of our own Edwin County Farms and the many incredible growers in the County. With an open archway on one side that offers a view into the kitchen, this warm, inviting room also extends graciously onto an expansive outdoor dining area that overlooks our lush garden.

We cherish our friendships, which is why The Counter Bar is open all day long.

For a gathering of your nearest and dearest, join us at The Harvest Table, an intimate spot seating 10 with a pergola overhead and an outdoor fireplace. When lounging is your top priority, enjoy cocktails from The Trailer Bar, our custom RV that evokes vintage vacations of days gone by.

Executive chef Albert Ponzo brings over two decades of award-winning experience to The Royal Hotel Restaurant

Executive chef Albert Ponzo brings over two decades of award-winning experience and passion to his seasonal and locally inspired food. Working closely with The Royal’s Edwin County Farms, his passion for sustainable farming and nose-to-tail butchery are being explored like never before. Albert honed his craft in the kitchens of some of Toronto’s most beloved and respected culinary institutions, including Canoe, Crush Wine Bar and Le Sélect Bistro, where he was executive chef for 11 years. Albert traces his love of food back to Sardegna where, as a young boy, he spent countless hours in his Nonna Maria’s kitchen. This love of food, its relationship to the land and the past, are what drive his passion today. When he’s not at The Royal, Albert can be found tending to the Ponzo Family Farm with Marlise and their three children.

Away from distractions and far from the hustle and bustle of the city, The Royal has a relaxed atmosphere that makes it an ideal escape for productive meetings and gatherings.

Our meeting room seats 14 at its boardroom table and is equipped with fully integrated A/V capabilities. Chef Ponzo’s kitchen team is available to prepare menus that suit your team’s needs and meetings, private meals and semi-private meals can also be booked in our restaurants.
